I come from Taiwan. I was a graduate student and majored in Metals and Jewelry in Savannah College of Art and Design. Having outgoing personal character since I was a child, I always enjoy hand making creative process. The great interests on hand making made me presuming my bachelor degree in Plastic Art. I have a standing interest in art and craft design.
After completing the sophomore year, the students are offered different choose of study fields, and I chose metal work to complete my study. I hoped to produce works and ornaments with unique design style and concept. My works that were entered both into campus and off-campus exhibitions, and my graduation production received positive feedback. My academic performance and other achievements were outstanding, and my great interests on metals and jewelry guild me to continue pursuing my career in metals and jewelry field.
After I studying metals and jewelry for two years, I learned that metals and jewelry is also a tool to communicate with the audience. It can convey not only personal messages, but also public issues.
I hope to use my professional knowledge in teaching and practice. I would like to incorporate fine art into daily life, making it no longer theoretical words. |
